Custom Valve Tags
Valve tags are hardly the most amazing thing we make, but these are slightly more interesting than the usual brass, stainless steel, aluminium or acrylic ones. Pro-Lock based in Poulton-Le-Fylde Lancashire, produce custom coded lockout devices which are used across multiple oil and gas Installations worldwide. They asked us to laser etch through powder coated, 316 grade stainless valve tags, something we had never done on such items before, (ok…we have laser etched powder coated aluminum signs but these were tricky because they were small).
We produced 2000 each of both types above, which took a lot of handling, making jigs, cleaning residue off and so on. The finished results are great and far more durable than print; perfect for the hostile environments they will undoubtably find themselves in.
Identification Tags and Labels - Bauer Kompressoren
We have just supplied these laser etched stainless steel identification tags to Bauer Kompressoren, the world’s leader in the manufacture of high-pressure compressors and component systems. Laser cut marine grade stainless steel with a DP1 brushed finish, we used our fibre laser marking system to apply a permanent product identification mark to these machine plate tags. Bauer supplied us with drawings, and we set up all the CAD artwork on their behalf, with each metal tag containing a unique serial number identification to help with the traceability.
The laser mark applied is highly detailed, accurate and permanent. Along with the durability of the stainless steel, these ID tags are more than suitable for a wide range of industrial environments and conditions. They are also a very cost-effective option for companies that required product identification plates, ID labels, steel tags, metal rating plates and asset labels. Not only can serial numbers and text be applied, but also logo’s, branding, QR codes and barcodes too
Custom Part Marking - EGS Defence
We have just completed a steel part marking job for Elite Grinding Services, who specialise in making rifling broach sets for the defence Industry. These high precision made parts were fibre laser etched at our facility with each part engraved with an individual serial number.
Our fibre laser makers are highly accurate and leave a permanent laser etched mark on the surface of a range of commonly used metals such as stainless steel, aluminium, brass, inconel and plated metals such as anodised aluminium and nickel plate. We can engrave logos, part numbers, serial numbers, QR codes and bar codes even in very small detail on a range of machine metal parts.
Laser making essential information onto manufactured components is required for traceability and quality control, (not to mention branding). This is crucial for engineering industries allowing companies are to track parts through their lifecycle. We frequently laser mark parts for companies from manufacturing, healthcare, aerospace, retail, transportation, construction, instrumentation and automotive sectors
Do you have a need have a requirement for custom part marking on your products?
Regimental Plaques - Laser Marked Stainless Steel
We have just completed these laser marked stainless steel plaques for ‘The Royal Army Ordnance Corps’ and the ‘Royal Logisitcal Corps’. These small engraved metal memorial plaques will be inserted into the kerbstones in front of the church at Deepcut, Hampshire to mark their ‘Lasting Legacy Commemoration’.
Measuring only 50mm square, the challenge was taking their regimental crests and then creating the necessary CAD file require to CNC Fibre laser mark the steel. This was completed on Adobe Illustrator by our designer tracing over the supplied image file, and then turning the artwork into a usable vector file.
Traffolyte Labels, Signs and Panels
Laser cutting and laser etching traffolyte makes up a large portion of the work we do. Engraved acrylic laminates come in a range of colour combinations and can be laser cut into many shapes and profiles. We laser mark this durable material which is perfect for a range of industrial, manufacturing, retail and healthcare applications
Customer Laser Cut Acrylic, ABS and Wooden Parts
We frequently laser cut acrylic (perspex), ABS, Polypropylene, HIPS and woods such as plywood and MDF for our customers. Every material has its own pro and cons, and we feel that we have enough experience to offer the right advice on suitable materials and processes for the job. The high level of precision offered by CNC laser cutting means that the parts you receive back are the parts your CAD drawings required
Custom Stainless Steel Electrical Switch Plates
We have just laser etched these stainless steel switch plates for one of customers who specialise in the installation of food processing equipment. Our customer required us to set up all the CAD artwork for this job prior to engraving the food grade stainless steel sections, which is a service we offer to all our customers. Stainless steel is a perfect material for electrical control panels, especially for the food processing industry who require hygenic and easy to clean surfaces.
The level of intricacy offered by laser marking systems is unparalled, along with the speed in processing such work. A permanent marking solution for custom made control panels and electrical switch plates. However we do not only mark stainless steel for such requirements, we can also offer laser etched acrylic laminate, (traffolyte), which is also hardwearing and comes in a wide variety of colour combinations
Stainless Steel Asset Number Plates
Laser etched stainless steel identification plates. These machine asset number plates were custom made for Kellanova.
