Custom Valve Tags
Valve tags are hardly the most amazing thing we make, but these are slightly more interesting than the usual brass, stainless steel, aluminium or acrylic ones. Pro-Lock based in Poulton-Le-Fylde Lancashire, produce custom coded lockout devices which are used across multiple oil and gas Installations worldwide. They asked us to laser etch through powder coated, 316 grade stainless valve tags, something we had never done on such items before, (ok…we have laser etched powder coated aluminium signs but these were tricky because they were small).
We produced 2000 each of both types above, which took a lot of handling, making jigs, cleaning residue off and so on. The finished results are great and far more durable than print; perfect for the hostile environments they will undoubtably find themselves in.
